Now Yes Start - more info due to recurrence

200q20v'ers,
Well it did it to me again today after work. Same symptoms, no check engine
light, and cranking with no catching. This time I checked for spark and
there was none. I did get it started and I believe I found the problem.
The "Motor" fuse was *dirty* and had a bad connection (the "Moteur" fuse was
okay and provides different symptoms when it's open/missing/dirty).
So when I got home I filed the blades to clean it up, and I'm confident that
I've rectified the problem (wow, tempting fate, huh?). I did an experiment
and sure enough when that fuse it out, the same symptoms occure. When the
"Moteur" fuse (rearmost one, in other words, I don't have the fuse position
number handy) is out, it's different symptoms, the check engine light does
work, but it doesn't start.
I can only conclude that when I went through all the fuses, pulling and
reinstalling them, that the "Motor" fuse ended up with a dirty section in
the connection that was only randomly good for a few starts.
Quoting myself:
"WTF! The car wouldn't start! It would only crank. The check engine light
doesn't come on any more either, with either of my ECUs. I checked the
Motor Moteur fuses and they are intact, as if fuse 13 for the fuel pump.
Earlier today I unplugged and checked every fuse and made sure they were all
the right amperage, but the car ran after that."
Cheers,
Kenneth
