ac compressor being weird

The vent issue is separate from the a/c compressor running/not running.

There is a recirc flap up behind the glove box. There's a vacuum line and a
spring. This should be visible from below in the passenger side footwell.
I'm not sure if you have to remove a panel underneath there to gain access
or not. Sometimes the spring breaks, sometimes the vacuum line leaks or is
disconnected.

Compressor not running could have something to do with the multi-function
temp sensor in the engine compartment on the water gallery under the intake
manifold. If not known to be good, check the connection. Sometimes it gets
corroded by coolant leaking through the sensor into the 4-pin plug block.

Recently my a/c was not blowing cold and I noticed I have a low voltage
issue. I think my alternator is toast. The dash gauge will show above 12v
with some rpms or when the car is cold, but all other times, it's under 12.
