Temp gauge

Thanks, Phil, but is is definitely the gauge or the IC, not the  
sensor-- sometimes you can get it to work or at least flicker by  
hitting the panel, and the wrench working with me has shorted out the  
sensor when the gauge is not reading, and it does not read.

Force Five will sell me a used gauge for $40, but it is from an 10v.  
Anyone know or can find out whether the gauge is the same?

As for reflowing the solder-- we can do that, but it all looked great  
under magnification last week.
