Why are 200q20v's worthless?

i was perusing the various audi classsifieds  wow, how depressing. it kills me. it's not like the 200 is only worth it's engine. throw
on some decent struts, springs and some larger/wider rims with good tires
- and go hit the twisties!

with ian's IA3+ ECU (280HP), koni, H&R, 034 billet bypass, 17" A4
rims and kuhmo escta SPT tires - i just ATTACKED skyline blvd in
oakland, ca. The Blue Bastard corners like a mofo and once on boost - it's more exhilarating than a friggen rollercoaster ;-)

it's amazing what people view as "desirable". while our cars are worth a pack of chewing gum, 1991-1994 BMW M5 are holding steady.and you have people ripping out the 3B to put in a URQ, coupe quattro or 4000Q.

oh well, i'm not planning on selling and don't have buyer's remorse (although i wish i bought that clean 200q20v with 91k in LA - but it wasn't available when i was looking).

it's just a trip. i could see lackluster resale if the thing was a gutless crap can. but with minimal mods - you have a low 14 second car with AWD and finish level of a damn S-Class Mercedes!
