I am really tired of this

Hi,
 
It is not really that the car has no power, it does when the rpm goes high enough and does not bounce around.
 
ISV was cleaned in June and connections to it were checked too.
 
Mechanic found a vacuum leak a couple of weeks ago and fixed it, that instantly gave the car it's power back and I saw 1.8 and 1.9 almost instantly after that. 
 
There are no other leaks right now.
 
I will try to get to the shop this morning and ask them to check the MAF as well as the ECU. Can a chip go bad?  I guess so, this TAP one is from 93 I think.
 
Why is it backfiring now?
