best replacement for muffler/exhaust

On the subject of the muffler, you have several options. You can go
back with an OEM or OEM style exhaust for that portion of the system.
You can simply eliminate the muffler, and run with only one instead of
two. Or, you can have an exhaust shop fabricate something for you. You
don't mention if it's a 10V or a 20V. If it's a 10V, this is easy, as
it's just a single exhaust system. If it's a 20V, it's a true dual
system, and you need to take that into account when having a system
built using aftermarket parts. I use glasspacks for mine, since that's
essentially what the factory system uses. However, the factory setup
is both of them in one case, rather than seperate. I.E. it's
essentially two glasspacks side by side in one case.
As for the rear window, if it's from a 100 through '91, it's just a
matter of lining it up. They are exactly the same other than the
allignment. Did you repalce it by pulling the inner door frame off, or
did you just swap the window itself? If you did the frame also, there
are shims that the factory used to align the frame. Make sure they are
where they need to be to properly allign the window in the opening.
Hope that helps,
Tony
