Rear window wiper

The rear wiper on the Avant hasn't been very cooperative lately, at the most
inopportune times of course. I disconnected the 3-prong connectory from the
wiper motor and got steady battery voltage on one pin, but nothing on the
triggered pin. The washer pump did run but only the very first time I
engaged the stalk and it was pretty weak sounding. After the 1st time
though, nothing.
I turned off the ignition and sprayed some electronic connection cleaner in
beside the wiper stalk and voila! It needed another spritz after a few more
uses of the stalk, so I left the can in the car.
I've resolved a problem on the V8 by spraying the wiper stalk too. The
intermittent wiper mode decided to activate by itself one day and did so a
couple more times afterward. Each time resolved by a spritz of electronic
connection cleaner. A can of which still resides in the passenger side
door pocket. It's a red can from Wal-Mart. I think I'll have a couple more
on hand.
