Obtain correct rotor or alternatively, machine the more common wide rotor down to 10mm
at the tip.
Simply crush the old one with mondo-pliers. If you have, put diealectric grease on the
new one. Why the H*** they glued the original rotors on like that is a mystery to me.
The material that acts to conduct from center to tip is a composite - carbon embedded on
epoxy like substance. It degrades over time and use. It does not make sense to not
replace with a new one.

Well my engine bucking continues. Somebody mentioned "good luck" before when I thought
I had it solved. I cockily replied " no luck needed - it's solved" When will I
learn???
Anyway - it has actually gotten worse. Something is not happy.
What say you guys about replacing the dizzy cap but not rotor?
reason I ask is because the special rotor is glued on - and I think I will definitely
have to remove the IM (this is in an urq where it is more crowded than in a 200) to do a
cap and rotor - where as if I just do the cap I might be able to sneak it in.
Obviously it's worth the effort if you really need to do both....
Thanks-
