Must have been tough miles ?? I put 300k + on my first avant and never had to mess with the clutch....i was extremely impressed with the drivetrain..i used the vehicle for some very strange towing operations and smoked the clutch but it never gave up.
Anyway, biking is good for you, enjoy it instead of stressing over it.

I would check the steering rack and clutch hydraulics.
My first clutch lasted to 175k, only got 20 on the second. It had a
defective clutch disk that was not riveted correct. It would get out of round
when it shifted on the rivets and hit the pins on the flywheel causing the
clutch to not disengage.
Good luck, Pete 91 Avant
