Yea, there is a metal fuse (might be 80 AMP) under the hood in a black box
near the driver side inner fender. Easy to spot. They corrode and go bad
(BTDT twice). I keep a spar in the glove box. Look at it and clean it.

May as well check all plug connections going to the fan, including the
speed controller mounted in front of the AC condenser low, under the plastic
piece the removes between the radiator and the front end.

hi all,

driving home a few days ago - the temp gauge went past the usual spot
where the
aux fan turns on. the car never got close to hot, but it was unnerving.

i noticed that there was a big draw on the voltage gauge when the fan
should
turn on. like a split second, then the gauge went back, but the fan did
not turn
on. but it seems it was trying to turn on.

when i pulled into the driveway, the fan did switch on.

is there some thermal relay that's suspect or is the aux fan on it's way
out?
