You can either pay a few hundred for a pair of good winter tires, or whatever your deductible is when you slide into someone.

I usually go for the tires. My dunlop winter sport 3Ds are on their third season. I've been more than happy with them.

I have a set of Nokian WRs on my Corrado. They were great in the winter, and the only all season that carries a winter tire symbol. Maybe those would work for you?
