Windows fogging up...BAD! help

Guys,

The spring is indeed broken. The flap was open however, while the car was fogging up, so I closed it to see if it made a difference and well...not really. There's a lot of crud clogging up the fins in there from what I saw, so that could be the problem. I'm gonna have to see if I can clean it out.

I'm with Brett, it's the recirc flap.

Even though it's not manually controllable by design, you can manually open
it and then keep it open, at least partially, by jamming something in there
to keep it open, at least until you have an opportunity to work on it for
real.  That should greatly help with the fogging issue.

Look at the position of the recirculation flap(s), which are not manually
controllable.  They're vacuum actuated, and the mount/spring are well known
to break in type 44's.  Vacuum leaks are also possible, as is failures with
the unit that houses all the vacuum solenoids.
