Kneale, I removed my throttle cam & MIG welded an appropriate loop in place of the broken plastic piece (year and a half ago) @ zero cost...

The piece of crap plastic throttle cam to which the accelerator cable of 
my 200q20v avant attaches has broken, so I got one of 034's machined 
aluminum versions. Very pretty and expensive, but the edges all are so 
sharply machined they could scrape fingernail material or cause a slice 
in skin. I'm concerned about any contact of the cable with those edges 
and wonder whether I should take a stone to the metal to make it less 
hazardously sharp?
