vag-com code fun!

hi all,

my CEL light came on.

vag-com says it's the following:

Address 01: Engine        Labels: None
   Part No: 034 EFI 
   Component:    MOTOR    PMC 12  

65535 - Internal Control Module Memory Error 
            00-00 -  - 
Readiness: N/A

what the heck is that? a bad ecu? the car does have an 034 stage I chipset (as 
you can see from the fault code) - any chance it's just some goofy code that the 
ecu throws when chipped?
