I'm guessing you don't need struts if 50k miles. What brand are the
current ones? I'd call blau and find out the brand of strut in the
kit. Personally, I have found the gas charged Boge or KYB strut to be
a really lousy match for the stock springs, and perhaps that is the
type of strut you have now, and may be why you don't like the feel.
The Bilstien "heavy duty" (not sport) are a decent match, but again
they are gas charged, and give a very different ride.

I found that a strut top brace made for a much better feel on the
rough roads of Hawaii. Not the Bernie Benz strut brace, but the strut
tower or body brace. This brace was an instant and dramatic
improvement over pot holes and uneven roads. If you know any welders,
you can make one very cheaply using steel pipe and stock strut tower
brackets from (I think the S6? someone help me out here). Never tried
the Bernie Benz strut to strut brace, but it seems like a rather silly
concept (can of worms no one want to open for the ump-teenth time).

Also, lest we forget the basics, what tire pressure are you running?
