I recently replaced the Bose system in my 1990 V8 with a Pioneer deck and a
couple of 6x9 speakers. It cost about $160 bux from Crutchfield. It's a CD
deck with an MP3 jack. I will eventually put some front speakers in the
doors, but it sounds really good (I'm no audiophile) and it was pretty easy.
Let me know if you'd like more info.

Hi everyone, thanks for the welcome. I guess I will keep on eye on ebay and
other marketplaces. About the radio, I was hoping for something cheap, and I
figured the original cassette should be reasonable. $25 refurb sounds too
good to be true, but I couldn't find it. Is there more info or part number
available for the blaupunkt that was mentioned? Is this the same as the
original? I'd rather not splurge on this so I can save funds for when
something more important decideds to fail. Question though, I have learned
that there are two possible original radios. The only thing I know about
mine is the front door speakers say Audi Bose. Will either of them work, or
is there only one for the Bose speakers?
