Fuel pump without the special tool

PS, the new style pumps are different and should come with a hose/fuel line 
 adapter kit.  I had the old style.

Whatever has  to be done has to be done one handed. Blasted Teutonic factory
tools! Pump  made 208k miles. No one has ever been in there I am sure.
Factory  insulation was still taped over the lid.
