I recently shipped a car from Salem, MA to Helena, MT - cost was $1300
on an open carrier.
I was satisfied with the results. As I live 50 miles from nowhere and
there was no way to get a semi up my driveway, I arranged to meet the
truck at the Walmart parking lot.
The car was picked up at about 11am Wed. morning and was in Montana
about 2400 miles away 42 hours later.
