When I used to pressure test mine, the dip stick would shoot out! First
time was pretty startling. Happened at 19psi, I normally slowly build
pressure to 15 psi for leak testing.
What psi did you test to?

Well, I managed to pull the fault code today for 4411, which appears to
indicate a
faulty fuel injector (or its circuit) for the No. 1 cylinder. Wonder if one
bad injector
or its circuit makes ECU to keep the boost to 1.0 maximum? Not so sure
about it.
Come to think of it, when I still owned this car in early 2010, it stalled
on me a
couple of times during a very light throttle or coasting. That could be
caused by
a faulty No. 1 cylinder injector, but I didn't have any problem with turbo
boost then.
So, the next step is to make a home-made boost leak tester. Stay tuned.
