i've heard there's a drop-in Walbro fuel pump that works. i'd love to know if this is true. walbro is much cheaper and if they are good enough for 1000HP mustangs, should be just dandy for the 200q20v ;-)

Anyone used a Bosch 0580254040? In place of the standard 60mm pump no longer
available?

I can modify the housing if I have to. There seems to be a ton of new old
stock of these pumps for $50. They are bottom inlet and top exit with
exactly the same hookup as stock. Specs look way better than the stock pump.
The only difference seems to be the screen over the inlet on the bottom but
that could be pulled out easily. This would be a good move moving into the
future to be based on this cheap available pump.
