instrument cluster repair questions

So I am trying to repair what seems to be a common problem with my 200t 20v.
The turn signal lights come on when the headlights are turned on, It seems that I need to resolder
some connections in the IC.  I found some instructions at SJM, but from searching the archives it seems 
that there is another set of instructions available that may provide some additional insight.
I was unable to find these using the archives.

Can someone point me to these?
