Hi David,
Below is something I copied from a couple of of my old posts. The IC
issues that I fixed involved (1) the "bouncing speedo needle" as well
as (2) the "hi-beam/turn-indicator" problem. The latter issue is
solve with simply adding that extra wire, while the first problem
required re-soldering the crack found at the base of those pair of
pins (shown). I did have a brief recurrence of the speedo "bounce"
but that seemed to fixed itself after a short time, though I suspect
my resoldering job needs to be done again...some day.
