Brake master cylinder

When you bled the brakes did you follow the proper sequence? I did it
wrong one time and did not get all the air out. I think it was RR, LR, RF, LF.

Pedal is not reliable at this point. Sometimes it feels like it is dropping
slowly. Other times it feels solid. The distance to steady with moderate
pressure doesn't seem to be in the same place each time. You can pump it
and
get it back. I will bleed it all again and continue to settle the
hydrualics
but I am getting no hydrualic pressure faults on the dash and the booster
seems to be working fine so I am guessing that I am going to have to deal
with the master. I am not the type to clean and reassemble. I just
blasted,
painted and completely rebuilt everything in the brakes and hydraulics
including lines, hoses, bomb, calipers, brake cables, yadda... Can't stop
:)
The seals may swell back up and work but my experience tells me that once
they are dry and hard they are done. I have had much lesser mileage parts
and younger fail this way. The hydrualic servo and brake master are the
only
things left other than clutch stuff that I haven't done. The clutch feels
old and a bit rattly but that is normal for high miles on these cars. It is
strong and working fine so I ain't bothering to mess with that. That isn't
going to cause a crash like a brake failure would.

Got injectors off of ebay today, a whole set for cheap off of a 200 20v.

Jay, DFWAB!
Your MC is probably OK if the pedal does not go to the floor, however
slowly.
And one does not need rebuild kits for MC or calipers unless a boot is torn
and needs replacement.
Just clean the parts well and reassemble.

Bernie
