Straw Poll: How Dependable is Your 200q20v?

This may come as a surprise, but in 167,000 miles, never had it towed.
perhaps more good luck.

I purchased it at 128k, drove it to 286k. It was a daily driver all days it
ran till the last two years. The freon leak increased to where it required
recharging more than one a year, so I used the backup for hot days.

One incident of burst coolant hose, should have had it towed, but had a
business trip early the next morning, so drove it home slowly, stopping
twice to add water...

One incident of starter not working...solved with a helpful push...changed
starter later

Gearbox gave trouble, would not go to reverse......resolved a few weeks
later....in the meantime drove it sparingly, parked it on slopes to help
reverse...

A few more similar incidents...but each were reasonably easy to fix, and I
managed to drive the car home to be fixed later.

I always had a backup car...still do. It helps if you choose to mail order
parts while you park the car waiting, or live with the disability (e.g.
torn Michelin man hose ==> don't use boost)
