I have been very happy with DDM kits in my 2001 S4, upgraded the stock 35
watt HID to 55 watts with 5000k color. However one of the igniters began to
give trouble a few weeks later,,, DDM replaced them immediately under
warranty.
To be less obvious to the law enforcement around, I would recommend you
choose the 4300k color.....
The worst loss will be that you will lose the HIGH beam. I believe VVME has
a bulb that moves up and down to simulate the low/high beam...ask if you can
get a 4000k or 4300k color as well.
Alternately, if you have not switched over to a relayed wiring harness, this
will be a considerable improvement. Next step would be to use the 9007 lamps
(with the wiring pins switched and a new groove cut in the bulb).
