Just make sure that the grove in the shaft is not to deep, That is what  
finally did mine in after 225k and two brush/reg kits.

kit and  do it yourself if you have a nice press available. Nothing magic
about it,  just bearings pressed into each end shell. Up here in Vermont
eventually  corrosion gets the windings and then they can't be rebuilt
locally.  Bearings can probably bought individually if you can get it 
apart.

I have a bearing going bad (pretty sure) - makes a  funky noise.  But it
charges fine....
