Ahoy 200q20v list,

Speaking of dash and air flap repair, one of the next things I'm going to do to my 200q20v is fix the recirc flap servo bracket. I have the factory repair kit. I also want to install the boost gauge carried over from my last 200q20v daily driver, which is installed in a center vent, and run some wires for aftermarket door speakers. I also have to fix the instrument cluster, presumably grounds and broken board traces. So there's a bunch of dash-related stuff to which I can attend.

Having the whole dash out sounds like an attractive option for doing the recirc flap servo work. I'm currently wondering how involved it is to remove the dash. I actually did a full interior swap into my spare 200q20v , from gray to black, but that was over 6 years ago now and I don't remember what was involved and I'd forgotten how in-depth it is. I think if it were a huge ordeal then I would remember more about it.

Over the past few weeks, I've been working on my gray 200q20v to transition it into daily driver duty, replacing my Honda Ridgeline, which gets less than 15mpg. I have the parts from my pearl 200q20v that was totalled in '06, and so far I've put in the suspension (H&R 29800, Bilstein, 2B camber plates). I converted from UFO to G60s because I have a BBK that I want to install once I find all my pieces.

I put in an RS2 EM, turbo, 1.8 bar WG spring,a modded ECU and (IIRC) 37lb/hr injectors. I have to redo the coolant line and oil line gaskets, but I had a taste of the cranked up boost for a day or two and it was good. I don't think I was getting the full boost potential, but I'll know more once I get the gauge installed.

Would you guys and gals suggest that pulling the dash would be a good idea for tackling the recirc flap servo stuff, considering I can also have the instrument cluster out and have to get behind the vents for other activities?

Cheers,

Kenneth
