By the way, I recently configured my car with: RS2 turbo/EM, Racetronix injectors (37lb/hr?, I don't remember), 7A cams (both), Iroz downpipe and Stromung catback, and a 2.0 bar WG spring. The APR R1 bypass valve with open cone filter is surprisingly quite loud, and I'm still having fun with that although I may put the airbox back in at some point (I'm aware of the open and oiled cotton cone filter drawbacks).
Currently my chipped w/3bar sensor ECU doesn't appear to be adding boost so I'm getting about 14 psi, so I'm suspecting the TPS isn't working well so I'm considering replacing it with one for an AAN, which are more plentiful/cheaper and said to be usable.
I've multimeter tested this TPS before, and have also tried to resolder some cracked joints, and have previously unplugged the MFTS without successfully getting ECU-assisted boost, and at this point I'm willing and want to try a new TPS since hearing the AAN version is a suitable substitute.
The car is fun even with the 14psi I'm getting, and I love the Stromung sound (just passed idle test smog check too with impressive 87/220, 0.03/1.20 results (forget which is which, just referencing a cell pic of the numbers). I'm looking forward to getting the boost issues sorted. I have an Apikol rear sway bar en route. The car is on H&R 29800s and Bilsteins with 2B camber plates, on 18" OZ Superleggeras, and so far G60's. I have a big brake kit, but I can't find one of the caliper brackets yet and I am also in need of some 993tt rotor ring bolts before I can put them on.
My driver's side power window regular that I put in brand new in January failed, with the cable crimp pulling out of the top of the sliding thing that attaches to the glass. It sounds like AutohausAZ is replacing that under warranty less to/fro shipping. I have some oil leaks to address, instrument cluster funkiness to resolve along with installing some S4 gauge faces, urS4 sport wheel to install, rear speakers and a sub, tint the windows, and fix the a/c and I should be able to more comfortably drive it daily. I'm now driving it daily, but with all that crap broken/undone. Since it's not hot right now here in AZ, without the a/c it's still a joy despite the basket of issues it has.
I'm using mostly parts and car that I already have, and doing my own work. It seems cheaper than getting something else, so to me the price is right (enough).
