Fault code 2341

I will try that. Thanks, John!
After sleeping on it, I should be suspecting the boost hose work I did since I was recently there. I have a number of other silicone hoses to install, for the cooling system and pre-intercooler intake, so I'll have more of the car apart. I will try to perform a bonafide boost pressure check at that time.
I have a fuel pressure testing kit, for CIS. I don't know if I can use it on this Motronic setup, but I'm also curious to know if my system pressures are where they should be. If I get a burst of motivation and the time, I'll see if I have the resources to check my fuel pressure.
Just pondering, I wonder if the arrival of the 2341 fault code is completely coincidental with the fuel filter replacement or if it has any relationship. I wonder if perhaps I already had boost leak, which would otherwise cause a rich condition from the loss of metered air, but since my old fuel filter was impeding the flow such the ECU was still able to adjust the mixture within the limits that preclude a 2341 fault code. Now with the fuel flowing more freely, because of the leaking metered air the ECU is forced to reduce the injector duty cycle so low to achieve the target AFR that it has now triggered the 2341 fault.
The fuel filter I replaced appeared to be a dealer part, stamped with Audi rings and such, so perhaps it was even the original. The WIX unit I installed turned out to be made in China, I noticed.

I recently replaced some of my boost hoses and the crankcase breather with some 034 silicone. I tend not to suspect an intake/boost leak, and am more suspicious of the ignition system. The O2 sensor is pretty new, and I think the plugs might be pretty fresh as well (F5DPOR), but the cap/rotor/wires are not. I still don't have a handy boost leak testing setup, but want to someday.
