Fuel Pressure Regulator

I put a new fuel pump and a new real Bosch check valve in last summer. 
Really has no miles on it, and the tank was super clean and has new gas 
in it. New FPR on the way. The 3B seems to be different than all the 
other turbo 5 cyl variants. But it happens to have a readily available 
aftermarket FPR ($50).

So I am guessing your second one blew under some boost. I think that is 
what happened to me. Car hadn't been driven for a while and as soon as I 
did the onset of normal boost blew the poor old brittle diaphragm right 
out. New one should fix it right up. It was really running beautifully 
before this episode.
