[A4] Heater Blower Motor replacement Question

Hi guys,

Our 96 A4 2.8q was not blowing air until a gentle hit persuaded the motor to 
start up again. Does anyone have experience with this i.e. any ideas how long 
my fist will be able to pump life into the blower motor.

How difficult is it to replace the blower motor? 

Are there any write ups that is should check out?
