[A4] CV joints.....

Caught torn boot the other day, so can breathe a sigh of relief that I only need to change it.  Shaft is a piece of cake to get out, but has anybody dealt with the joints?  I don't know if I have the hollow shaft or not, hopefully I do as the outer joint is easier to get off than the others.   Boot is on the way, should be her Mon or tue, hope to have h-shaft off by then and be waiting.

BTW, what the hell kind of bolts hold it to the output shaft of the tranny?  They're not allen heads, not torx, ?????
