[A4] performance questions

GIAC makes both a Tip chip and a regular ECU chip.  I've heard good
things about the tip chip, but not much good about the ECU chip.

Then of course there is PES supercharger for the 30v 2.8.  That on the
docket for my 2000 A4 Avant 5 speed.  $4995 though...have to save up.

Anyone have a recommendation for the following upgrades for a 2000 A4
2.8Q?

1. Improved response time on Tiptronic?

2. Chip under $300?
