[A4] New car considerations

Sorry -
I wasn't clear. My '00 A4 is a 2.8 30v. I bought it with 80k on it,
and its never gotten more that 22mpg. I do all of my driving on route
95 north of boston with cruise set at 78mph in 5th gear.
What do others get with their 30v A4s?

Aaron, how come you're only getting 20 mpg in the 00 A4? My '00 A4
1.8TAvant(chipped) has 94K on it and I still get far better gas
mileage than
that...I'd check your filters, plugs etc...you should be getting more
than
that...
The 2.0T is a really smooth engine, and a lot quieter than the old
1.8T,
especially at higher revs. There is very little if any cabin vibration
and
you'll be pleasantly surprised at the low end torque....
I also thought about the A3, but Audi in their infintie wisdom, decided
not
to bring the quattro here...so what's the point?
The Avant has loads on cargo space, especially with the back seats
down....if you're looking for storage, go with the wagon (or
estate...if
you're from the UK!!)
