[A4] Driver Information Display question (defect?)

FWIW, My 2007 Volkswagen GTI, while having a slightly different display, has a similar dark line.

oh i know about the br s4 display issues. but if 2 new cars do the same
thing, then probably not a problem. or a design flaw. but we all know audi
has never had any design flaws.
except for, you know, my entire front suspension [b5 a4].
problem is, IF it's broken and you take it to the dealer then you run the
risk of them REALLY screwing something up.
i'd live with it until it becomes a problem or is recalled / documented.
