Considering the S6 is a V8, the 2.7T Allroad is hardly an S6 clone,
but I get your drift. (I probably would have gotten an S6 Avant if
they made a frickin' 6-speed....I don't do automatics.) That being
said the Allroad is an amazing vehicle.
No need to paint the fenders and bumpers, although there are a lot of
Allroad owners who ordered their allroads with painted
bumpers/fenders from the factory or had painted their own. In a dark
color like Atlas Grey, I prefer the unpainted
bumpers/fenders. Also, they hold up much better unpainted. I
figure if that even if I ever paint my bumpers (which I won't do) I
would still leave my fenders unpainted. Of course, I'm sorta
old-school....I like the fenders on old Golf GTIs and the like.
And why do you think the suspension is stupid? That's one of the
best parts of the car! That being said, there is a company that
makes a coilover kit for the Allroad...which basically turns it into
a 2.7T 6-speed A6 Avant with a sport suspension.
It gets about 18-20 in town.....24-25 on the highway. Of course, I
had some really worn nasty Pirelli Snowsports on the car right
now. It's awaiting a set of Avons on 18" RS6 replicas.

I found it in California....from Robert Allen of California Motorcars
(aka California Audi) Car was originally sold in Vermont. Second
owner purchased it as an Audi Certified Pre-Owned car in
Charlottesville, VA (Washington DC area). It was traded to a
Porsche dealer in PA then went through a couple of brokers to
me....makes me the 3rd owner and I transferred the remaining Audi CPO warranty.
