Yeah, I guess I mis-remembered that. ISTR that there is a "Service 1" and
"Service 2", where 1 is for a 15k minor service and 2 is a more major
service.

Yeah, I wouldn't even think about it. I think it was around 90k that we
had our timing belt break because of a bad idler roller, which was supposed
to have been replaced along with the water pump and other items when the
timing belt was done at 60k. I'm not sure if it wasn't replaced or what,
but it ended up leaving us stranded in the middle of Nebraska, and costing
around $4k to fix (several bent valves). Either way, 90k would make me
nervous.
At least I only have the 12v engine. The 24v would have been even more.
Good thing the new S4 has a chain, hopefully it's less likely to break and
crash some of the 40 valves there. Yikes.
