[A4] A quiet list...to central locks

Glad to disturb the silence then.

I think this is about the info I got from Audiworld...along with some 
smart-ass comment about "it's a ten year old car, what do you expect."  I 
didn't find that answer to be very constructive.  Signal to noise indeed.  
They do have a good search function over there though.

I did find some of those central locking control modules available on 
Car-Parts.com.  My hesitation with a used part is what's to prevent the same 
failure cropping up quickly?  Digging through Audiworld, found somebody has 
also been able to replace just the pump with one they pulled from a similar 
vintage Passat.  Just replacing the pump with a better version would seem to 
be a more permanent solution...and also allow me to avoid the reprogramming 
shenanigans. That rebuild article I believe is the eighth link down this

Anybody with experience doing this rebuild?

...and now that I've woken the slumbering giant, expect more questions over 
the next couple of days.
