It seems that your "new" radio simply isn't powering up.
If you still have your old radio around, depending on the nature
of its problem, if it still powers up, connect it to your car
to see if there is power.  If there is power, then your car's power
wiring should be ok.  Otherwise, check the fuse for your radio
circuit, and test for power at the connector using a multimeter.
The radio should have a sticker on it that indicates which pin
is +12V power.
