Open your hood, attach wires from the battery to the pos/neg leads of 
the radio and confirm it lights up. That way you don't have to wonder 
if there's some other issue with bad fuses, leads under the dash etc. 
Make sure you get pos to both the power lead and the trigger lead. One 
supplies power to the unit the other switches it on when you turn the 
key on etc. If you have power to the unit but no trigger 12V it will 
look dead even though it's okay.
