[ba] radiator fan issues

So, okay,

I've had nothing but trouble with the electric fan for the radiator
since I bought my Coupe in 82.

Slowly but surely I have outboarded the 25 amp fuse that the fan runs
through to keep the fuse from toasting its contacts and becoming
non-conductive.

Then I changed out the switch in the bottom of the radiator and things
worked well for a couple of years.

But now I have the *way cool* problem that on very hot days the fan
will not come on but on cool days it comes on and off fine. When it
begins to overheat and I pull in to run water through the radiator
vanes to cool the engine down the fan will often come on once the car
is back to a more normal temp.

So, all I can think is that the switch in the bottom of the radiator is
intermittent in some way.

But thought I would ask before I go and swop it out as I have to drain
everything.

I noted that there are a couple of different switches available on the
online parts sources and any advice about those is welcomed.

Thanks for any hints/tips/advice.

M./
