It's been a while since I've had something tinted... At that time
tint films were described by the amount of light transmitted. Commonly
availble then were tints from 70% to 5% (limo). There was a rare film
that was 100% that blocked UVA & UVB. I've had a number of cars done
with 70% on the front windows, going successfully darker to the rear.
I've never used limo because IMHO it's too dark at night & the shop I
used did not guarentee it the same. I've never attracted any police
attention with that setup. That said, CVC says you can not apply any
tint to the windshield or front side windows... Factory tint is OK.
Windows behind the driver can be painted black as long as you have 2
outside mirrors... ;-)
