I am in NE too.. WHen I got back from the west coast the
weather we have been having seems to have done a number on my
rotors too. It was so bad that I would hear a thumping sound
on the highway if I even touched them.

So I took the car to an out of the way road and did 1 or
2 "emergency" stops. No.. not with the e brake, but gased it
up, and the just slamed on the brakes as hard as I could.

That did it. Mine are fine now...

How to stop it from happening again.. My thought is to get a
garage! But I live in Somerville, and there is about 8 feet
between each house.

Cheers,

-Adam
