[BiturboS4] RE: Euro springs

Dave, you're right, I have no way of knowing whether the Bilsteins (in this
case, the Neuspeed Bilsteins) will match the Euro springs. What I do know is
that in modifying several VWs recently (Passat, A2, A3 and A4GTIs, to be
specific), I ultimately ended up with a Bilstein HD or Sport shock & stock
springs -- in all cases except for the A3gti (which had the spring rates of
a Buick).

In these cases, the Bilstein+Stock-spring setup gave me better control,
while preserving a compliant ride. I'm hoping it does the same for the S4.
My one worry is that Neuspeed has supposedly tweaked the damping rates on
their Bilsteins. I hope they didn't screw things up too badly. Yes, it's a
conservative setup, but it has worked well for my driving needs in the past.
Another thing to note is that I'll probably never track the S4. I have the
Miata/MX-5 to go beat on @ the track.

If it doesn't work, then I put the Bilsteins on my Wife's S4 and go buy
myself some H&R Coilovers :)
