Erik,
I just did all that stuff, got the car back today. My suggestions are listed
below. Also, get an extended warranty from www.accelwarranty.com. It'll pay
off!
Good luck!

> a performance chip (unknown brand)
BSM>> GIAC X-chip version 8 in spare ECU (this is critical for warranty
purposes) www.awe-tuning.com
> a cold air intake or intake upgrade (unknown brand or benefit)
BSM>> AWE S-flo from www.awe-tuning.com, with hole cut in bottom of airbox
for better flow
> improved suspension for cornering and load (unknown brand and quantifiable
benefit)
BSM>> H&R Sport springs with Bilstein Sport shocks from www.ecs-tuning.com.
Will give you good roll control and ride motions, not optimum for track, but
nice and not punishing on the street. Lowers care about 1.5". Get coilovers
or H&R race springs for more aggressive ride.
> upgraded brake pads or rotor/pads/caliper assembly (unknown brand,
pro/cons of each benefit would be nice)
BSM>> After messing around with brakes on many of my cars, I'd say optimum
is front kit like Porsche Big Reds (www.ecs-tuning.com) or StopTech
(www.stoptech.com). Then you get stainless steel lines and better pads for
rear, put good fluid in like Moptul 600, and you're see huge improvement in
feel, fade resistance, and performance. This is expensive, but required for
heavy track use.
Less expensive is SS lines all around, better pads, and fluid change. If you
take care of your brakes, you'll be OK. Otherwise, you should upgrade front
rotors to ebtter quality in stock size.
> driveline stabilizer (unknown brand or quantifiable benefit)
BSM>> Autospeed's DTS (www.autospeed-performance.com)
> other suggested improvements with a suggested vendor would be nice and
helpful too
Boost gauge, downpipes (espensive for both parts and labor), catback
exhaust, nicer wheels, window tint, water injection if you run in hot
climates or on the track a lot, upgraded bypass valves, clear bra, euro
lights w/50 watt ballasts. My vendors are:
www.awe-tuning.com
www.ecs-tuning.com
www.avalonmotorsports.com
www.autospeed-performance.com
www.superemepowerparts.com
