[BiturboS4] Blown Turbos - Another Update - Change In Perspective About AoA

Bruce,

good points..I plan on following up with the dealer.

They told me that they "have NO clue as to the origin
of the metal shavings."

So, I will not push the point beyond reason...at this
point it's a GRAY area...blame could be tossed around
from both sides...I'll take 50/50 on the repairs w/o
full explanation...remember..I am technically out of
warranty...they could have told me to pound sand..and
that would left me with no viable remedy outside of
litigation.

I do not have to go that route. As I mentioned in an
earlier post, "Wally and Ian were correct when they
stated that a 50/50 offer was fair, and probably the
best that I would get" (man, I hate giving Wally
credit for ANYTHING).

Under current circumstances (no CLEAR CUT evidence of
defective manufacturing with respect to the turbos),
the 50/50 proposal from AoA is more than reasonable
(since I now have to get new intercoolers too).

Yes, I am getting a 50% discount on parts and labor at
retail prices (as some have told me off-line), but I
wanted Audi "to have some skin in the game", and AoA
did step up to the plate. You can bet that I will be
checking the warranty from AoA for this $6k ($3k is on
me)job.
