Yea - And some proof of this comes in the form of a short
story: A guy who had an S4 and had his
car serviced at the same Dealer as I go to blew his engine.
His car had a ton of Mods. He was
under warranty, but they wouldn't help him, as the ECU
recorded several things at the time of the
failure. Including his speed. He was apparently going faster
than the factory set electronic governor,
so they determined he was abusing his car and gave no
assistance in fixing it. Too bad for him.
Turned out he was on a track when he did it...
