Hi JY,

I used a flathead screwdriver to pry the vdo gauge off  (between the black =
outer trim ring of the gauge and the pod), hence scratched that ring good a=
nd cracked off some of the surface finish.  The gauge is held in by wedging=
 a piece of tape between it and the pod, it's pretty tight and it won't rot=
ate inside the pod.  You maybe able to get it off if you push hard enough f=
rom the back, just be careful about the outer finish of the pod, a few peop=
le on AW have complained about same problem with paint cracking.

I ordered the Awe center vent gauge, that should have the exact lighting as=
 the dash as well.

I had the SAME problem with the 'vent' boost gauge that i purchased from AP=
R - installed UPSIDE DOWN!

How did u finally that VDO gauge out of the pod? Mine is firmly stuck - UPS=
IDE down. Also, did replace it with an Amori Gauge (lighting is supposed to=
 match the Audi gauges)?

I really like the O.CT LED bar graph boost gauge that's integrated into
the tachometer, and would consider installing one on my car if it didn't
have that ugly O.CT logo in place of the Audi Sport S4 logo that's there
