[Biturbos4] check engine light

Thought I heard once that if the CEL stays on you're not incurring mortal
damage - continue until you can have it checked. If it is flashing, pull
over and shut down immediately.

As Ti says you need to read the fault code(s).  VagCom is an excellent
and economical tool for this.  The only time my engine check light
stayed on the cause was a faulty temperature sensor.  Dealer replaced
