[Biturbos4] Synthetic oil and coking?

Contrary to what the name suggests, synthetic lubricants aren't made from miracle
unobtanium in the lab -- they're still made from petrochemical base stocks. As such, I
have to assume that they're still vulnerable to high-temperature breakdown and 'failure'
with coking probably included -- it just takes place at higher temperatures than with
'conventional' oils.

Just for my own clarification, can anyone confirm that synthetic oil is impervious to
coking? My understanding (totally unfounded) is that synthetic oil will turn to ash when
the temp reaches critical levels, not coke - thereby avoiding the entire clogged oil lines
issue.
